Joanna Howes (author of Wild Sierra Nevada) and I have spent the past several weeks visiting various schools in Tahoe to teach pre-k, kindergarten, and 1st grade students about nature journaling and wildlife in the Sierra. I am beyond excited to share Wild Sierra Nevada, a children's book that I illustrated, written by Joanna Howes and published by the Yosemite Conservancy.

Some of the original watercolor paintings from Wild Sierra Nevada are currently being displayed at Happy Isles Art and Nature Center in Yosemite National Park!

Happy Isles is a nature center run by the Yosemite Conservancy. They host a lot of really cool activities, including daily art classes for adults and teens.

If you're planning on visiting the park, I'd highly recommend checking it out!
